Think about it. 70 million Americans would have suddenly looked at the GOP members in Congress as having instituted a coup. The GOP in the Senate could have “held hands and jumped.” Why didn’t they? The most reasonable answer, which I was considering to myself just a few days ago before Cheney said it, is that they were afraid they’d be called to account for having instituted a coup.

In other words, hunted down and killed. By Trump supporters.
