The irony of it all is that his reign ended the way it began, and the way it sustained itself: with an unsubstantiated, fact-free, lie. Except that, this time, he was literally going to have to prove that 2 + 2 = 5. And, not enough Americans would believe it. Americans, for now at least, would accept math, and the practical impossibility of corrupting the vote in the most closely-watched, and monitored, election in human history. Americans, finally, would demand evidence of Trump’s fantastic claims… evidence that he would never be able to produce.

If there had been evidence of voter fraud, then Trump and his lawyers would have presented it.

It was all made up.

Like everything else was.
