I am now calling Donald Trump America’s first “Jim Jones” president. The two share many characteristics: a paranoid hatred, fear and distrust of government; promises of unbounded wealth, pleasure and utopia (for his followers); a political cult that despises ‘socialism’ (Jones’ despised capitalism); a false sense of Christianity; a false sense of peace and love; a herd of viciously covert yes-men and yes-women obeying his every order; and, now, he has gotten over 220,000 Americans to drink his COVID Kool Aid, via a loyalty test, whether fully willingly or not, and now they’re dead.

Like Jones was, he is a financial and sexual criminal, and a pervert, using his political cult to provide cover for his ongoing, and intensifying, crimes. His speaking style is similar to Jones’, and he shares many of Jones’ quirks, such as ranting at length about mundane subjects that include his own body and body parts, as well as those of others; and, of course, finding grievance (something to complain about) in almost everything.

At the end, Jones hated the media, and found liars and conspirators everywhere; and, he claimed that he and his followers “just wanted to be left alone” and that he wanted the U.S. government, and the media, to “go away, and leave us in peace.” He also bemoaned that he was unappreciated, and that he’d “done so much for people,” and that his actions had always been selfless, and at personal and financial sacrifice to himself, who, of course, could have chosen instead to have left his followers, either before or after he’d collected them, behind, to successfully do anything else he’d wanted with his life.

At the very end, as one of the 911 people who died that day, he told one of his most ardent followers to kill herself and her three children, which she did, with a knife; and, with the assistance of her adult daughter. The younger two did not know what was happening, and likely never knew the danger they’d been in the whole time.

“GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Dec. 4 —Moments after she finished what is believed to be the last radio conversation with Jonestown, Sharon Amos walked briskly through the living room of the People’s Temple headquarters here with a knife in her hand, witnesses said today.

“She led her children — Martin, 8 years old; Christa, 10, and Leanne, 22 — into a bathroom, and motioned to Charles Beikman, a 43‐year‐old former marine, to follow.

“Then others in the living room heard a child cry “Oh, Mama,” and then a scream. They ran to the bathroom. Mrs. Amos, and the children lay bleeding to death, their throats cut, and Mr. Beikman stood trembling nearby.

“Forty‐six persons were in the headquarters that evening, unaware until later, they say, that as Sharon Amos and her family died, the Jonestown commune was destroying itself in a frenzy of murder and suicide.”

“Trump called CNN ‘bastards’ for covering Covid-19. Hear Keilar’s response”

“CNN’s Brianna Keilar responds to President Trump’s comments at a rally that people are “tired of the pandemic” and those who continue to cover the crisis are “dumb bastards.””

“When members apparently cried, Jones counseled, “Stop these hysterics. This is not the way for people who are socialists or communists to die. No way for us to die. We must die with some dignity.” Jones can be heard saying, “Don’t be afraid to die;” that death is “just stepping over into another plane” and that it’s “a friend.” Jones’ wife Marceline apparently protested killing the children; she was forcibly restrained and then joined the other adults in poisoning herself. At the end of the tape, Jones concludes: “We didn’t commit suicide; we committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world.”[95]

“According to escaping Temple members, children were given the drink first by their own parents; families were told to lie down together.[96] Mass suicide had been previously discussed in simulated events called “White Nights” on a regular basis.[80][97] During at least one such prior White Night, members drank liquid that Jones falsely told them was poison.”[80][97] –Wikipedia, Jim Jones

“”Change must come through the barrel of a gun,” said Mao Zedong. This place would be a paradise, tomorrow, if every department had a supervisor with a sub-machine gun. There’d be no shit here. Right? Everybody’d work, we’dn’t have no trouble.” –Jim Jones
